Тогда́ собра́ Соломо́нъ вся́ старѣ́йшины Изра́илевы и вся́ нача́лники колѣ́нъ, вожды́ оте́чествъ сыно́въ Изра́илевыхъ во Иерусали́мъ, да вознесу́тъ киво́тъ завѣ́та Госпо́дня от гра́да дави́дова, и́же е́сть Сiо́нъ.

И собра́шася ко царю́ вси́ му́жiе Изра́илевы въ пра́здникъ, се́й е́сть ме́сяцъ седмы́й.

И прiидо́ша вси́ старѣ́йшины Изра́илевы, и взя́ша вси́ леви́ти киво́тъ

и внесо́ша его́ и ски́нiю свидѣ́нiя и вся́ сосу́ды святы́я, и́же въ ски́нiи, и внесо́ша его́ свяще́нницы и леви́ти.

Ца́рь же Соломо́нъ и ве́сь со́нмъ сыно́въ Изра́илевыхъ, и боя́щiися и собра́нiи предъ киво́томъ, жря́ху телцы́ и о́вцы безчи́сленны и несочисля́емы от мно́жества.

И внесо́ша свяще́нницы киво́тъ завѣ́та Госпо́дня на мѣ́сто его́, е́же е́сть моли́твенникъ хра́ма, во свята́я святы́хъ, подъ крилѣ́ херуви́мовъ.

И бя́ху херуви́ми распросте́рше кри́ла своя́ надъ мѣ́стомъ киво́та, и покрыва́ху херуви́ми надъ киво́томъ и надъ носи́лами его́ свы́ше.

И дли́ннѣе бя́ху носи́ла, и ви́дяхуся главы́ носи́лъ от святы́хъ въ лице́ моли́твенника, и не ви́дяхуся внѣ́, и бы́ша та́мо да́же до настоя́щаго дне́.

Ничто́же бѣ́ въ киво́тѣ, то́кмо двѣ́ скрижа́ли, и́хже положи́ Моисе́й въ Хори́вѣ, егда́ зако́нъ даде́ Госпо́дь сыно́мъ Изра́илевымъ, исходя́щымъ и́мъ изъ земли́ Еги́петскiя.

И бы́сть исходя́щымъ свяще́нникомъ от святы́хъ, вси́ бо свяще́нницы, и́же ту́ обрѣто́шася, освяще́ни бы́ша и не бя́ху расположе́ни въ дневну́ю чреду́,

леви́ти же и пѣвцы́ вси́ съ сынми́ Аса́фовыми, со Ема́номъ, Идиѳу́момъ, и съ сынми́ и́хъ и съ бра́тiями и́хъ, облече́ни въ ри́зы льня́ны, въ кимва́лѣхъ и псалти́ри и гу́слехъ [возглаша́ху] стоя́ще предъ олтаре́мъ, и съ ни́ми жерце́въ сто́ два́десять трубя́ще труба́ми:

и бы́сть еди́нъ гла́съ въ трубле́нiи и въ псалмопѣ́нiи и въ возглаше́нiи гла́сомъ еди́нымъ е́же хвали́ти и исповѣ́датися Го́сподеви. И егда́ воздвиго́ша гла́съ въ труба́хъ и кимва́лѣхъ и орга́нѣхъ пѣ́сней, и глаго́лаху: исповѣ́дайтеся Го́сподеви, я́ко бла́гъ, я́ко въ вѣ́къ ми́лость его́: и до́мъ испо́лнися о́блака сла́вы Госпо́дни,

и не мого́ша свяще́нницы ста́ти служи́ти от лица́ о́блака, напо́лни бо сла́ва Госпо́дня до́мъ Бо́жiй.

И окончилась вся работа, которую производил Соломон для дома Господня. И принес Соломон посвященное Давидом, отцом его, и серебро и золото и все вещи отдал в сокровищницы дома Божия.

Тогда собрал Соломон старейшин Израилевых и всех глав колен, начальников поколений сынов Израилевых, в Иерусалим, для перенесения ковчега завета Господня из города Давидова, то есть с Сиона.

И собрались к царю все Израильтяне на праздник, в седьмой месяц.

И пришли все старейшины Израилевы. Левиты взяли ковчег

и понесли ковчег и скинию собрания и все вещи священные, которые в скинии, – понесли их священники и левиты.

Царь же Соломон и все общество Израилево, собравшееся к нему пред ковчегом, приносили жертвы из овец и волов, которых невозможно исчислить и определить, по причине множества.

И принесли священники ковчег завета Господня на место его, в давир храма – во Святое Святых, под крылья херувимов.

И херувимы распростирали крылья над местом ковчега, и покрывали херувимы ковчег и шесты его сверху.

И выдвинулись шесты, так что головки шестов ковчега видны были пред давиром, но не выказывались наружу, и они там до сего дня.

Не было в ковчеге ничего кроме двух скрижалей, которые положил Моисей на Хориве, когда Господь заключил завет с сынами Израилевыми, по исходе их из Египта.

Когда священники вышли из святилища, ибо все священники, находившиеся там, освятились без различия отделов;

и левиты певцы, – все они, то есть Асаф, Еман, Идифун и сыновья их, и братья их, – одетые в виссон, с кимвалами и с псалтирями и цитрами стояли на восточной стороне жертвенника, и с ними сто двадцать священников, трубивших трубами,

и были, как один, трубящие и поющие, издавая один голос к восхвалению и славословию Господа; и когда загремел звук труб и кимвалов и музыкальных орудий, и восхваляли Господа, ибо Он благ, ибо вовек милость Его; тогда дом, дом Господень, наполнило облако,

и не могли священники стоять на служении по причине облака, потому что слава Господня наполнила дом Божий.

Ainsi fut achevé tout l'ouvrage que Salomon fit pour la maison de l'Éternel. Puis il apporta l'argent, l'or et tous les ustensiles que David, son père, avait consacrés, et il les mit dans les trésors de la maison de Dieu.

Alors Salomon assembla à Jérusalem les anciens d'Israël et tous les chefs des tribus, les chefs de famille des enfants d'Israël, pour transporter de la cité de David, qui est Sion, l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel.

Tous les hommes d'Israël se réunirent auprès du roi pour la fête, qui se célébra le septième mois.

Lorsque tous les anciens d'Israël furent arrivés, les Lévites portèrent l'arche.

Ils transportèrent l'arche, la tente d'assignation, et tous les ustensiles sacrés qui étaient dans la tente: ce furent les sacrificateurs et les Lévites qui les transportèrent.

Le roi Salomon et toute l'assemblée d'Israël convoquée auprès de lui se tinrent devant l'arche. Ils sacrifièrent des brebis et des boeufs, qui ne purent être ni comptés, ni nombrés, à cause de leur multitude.

Les sacrificateurs portèrent l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel à sa place, dans le sanctuaire de la maison, dans le lieu très saint, sous les ailes des chérubins.

Les chérubins avaient les ailes étendues sur la place de l'arche, et ils couvraient l'arche et ses barres par-dessus.

On avait donné aux barres une longueur telle que leurs extrémités se voyaient à distance de l'arche devant le sanctuaire, mais ne se voyaient point du dehors. L'arche a été là jusqu'à ce jour.

Il n'y avait dans l'arche que les deux tables que Moïse y plaça en Horeb, lorsque l'Éternel fit alliance avec les enfants d'Israël, à leur sortie d'Égypte.

Au moment où les sacrificateurs sortirent du lieu saint, -car tous les sacrificateurs présents s'étaient sanctifiés sans observer l'ordre des classes,

et tous les Lévites qui étaient chantres, Asaph, Héman, Jeduthun, leurs fils et leurs frères, revêtus de byssus, se tenaient à l'orient de l'autel avec des cymbales, des luths et des harpes, et avaient auprès d'eux cent vingt sacrificateurs sonnant des trompettes,

et lorsque ceux qui sonnaient des trompettes et ceux qui chantaient, s'unissant d'un même accord pour célébrer et pour louer l'Éternel, firent retentir les trompettes, les cymbales et les autres instruments, et célébrèrent l'Éternel par ces paroles: Car il est bon, car sa miséricorde dure à toujours! en ce moment, la maison, la maison de l'Éternel fut remplie d'une nuée.

Les sacrificateurs ne purent pas y rester pour faire le service, à cause de la nuée; car la gloire de l'Éternel remplissait la maison de Dieu.

So all the work that Solomon had done for the house of the LORD was finished; and Solomon brought in the things which his father David had dedicated: the silver and the gold and all the furnishings. And he put them in the treasuries of the house of God.

Now Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel, in Jerusalem, that they might bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD up from the City of David, which is Zion.

Therefore all the men of Israel assembled with the king at the feast, which was in the seventh month.

So all the elders of Israel came, and the Levites took up the ark.

Then they brought up the ark, the tabernacle of meeting, and all the holy furnishings that were in the tabernacle. The priests and the Levites brought them up.

Also King Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel who were assembled with him before the ark, were sacrificing sheep and oxen that could not be counted or numbered for multitude.

Then the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the temple, to the Most Holy Place, under the wings of the cherubim.

For the cherubim spread their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim overshadowed the ark and its poles.

The poles extended so that the ends of the poles of the ark could be seen from the holy place, in front of the inner sanctuary; but they could not be seen from outside. And they are there to this day.

Nothing was in the ark except the two tablets which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they had come out of Egypt.

And it came to pass when the priests came out of the Most Holy Place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, without keeping to their divisions),

and the Levites who were the singers, all those of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, stood at the east end of the altar, clothed in white linen, having cymbals, stringed instruments and harps, and with them one hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets--

indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying: «For He is good, For His mercy endures forever,» that the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud,

so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.
