И прiи́де еди́нъ от седми́ А́нгелъ иму́щихъ се́дмь фiа́лъ, и глаго́ла со мно́ю, глаго́ля ми́: прiиди́, да покажу́ ти су́дъ любодѣ́йцы вели́кiя, сѣдя́щiя на вода́хъ мно́гихъ:

съ не́юже любодѣ́яша ца́рiе зе́мстiи, и упи́шася живу́щiи на земли́ от вина́ любодѣя́нiя ея́.

И веде́ мя въ пу́сто мѣ́сто ду́хомъ: и ви́дѣхъ жену́ сѣдя́щу на звѣ́ри червле́нѣ, испо́лненѣмъ име́нъ ху́лныхъ, и́же имѣ́яше гла́въ се́дмь и рого́въ де́сять.

И жена́ бѣ́ облечена́ въ порфи́ру и червлени́цу, и позлащена́ зла́томъ и ка́менiемъ драги́мъ и би́серомъ, иму́щи ча́шу зла́ту въ руцѣ́ свое́й по́лну ме́рзости и скве́рнъ любодѣя́нiя ея́:

и на челѣ́ ея́ напи́сано и́мя: та́йна, Вавило́нъ вели́кiй, ма́ти любодѣ́йцамъ и ме́рзостемъ зе́мскимъ.

И ви́дѣхъ жену́ пiя́ну кровьми́ святы́хъ и кровьми́ свидѣ́телей Иису́совыхъ, и диви́хся, ви́дѣвъ ю́, ди́вомъ вели́кимъ.

И рече́ ми А́нгелъ: что́ диви́шися? А́зъ ти́ реку́ та́йну жены́ [сея́] и звѣ́ря нося́щаго ю́, се́дмь гла́въ иму́ща и рого́въ де́сять.

Звѣ́рь, его́же ви́дѣлъ еси́, бѣ́, и нѣ́сть, и и́мать взы́ти от бе́здны, и въ па́губу по́йдетъ: и удивя́тся живу́щiи на земли́, и́мже имена́ не напи́сана су́ть въ кни́гу живо́тную от сложе́нiя мíра, ви́дяще, я́ко звѣ́рь бѣ́, и нѣ́сть, и преста́ {ви́дяще звѣ́ря, и́же бѣ́, и нѣ́сть, и предста́нетъ}.

Здѣ́ у́мъ, и́же и́мать му́дрость. Се́дмь гла́въ го́ры су́ть се́дмь, идѣ́же жена́ сѣди́тъ на ни́хъ,

и ца́рiе се́дмь су́ть: пя́ть и́хъ па́ло, и еди́нъ е́сть, [а] другі́й еще́ не прiи́де: и егда́ прiи́детъ, ма́ло ему́ е́сть пребы́ти {подоба́етъ бы́ти}.

И звѣ́рь, и́же бѣ́ и нѣ́сть, и то́й осмы́й е́сть, и от седми́хъ е́сть, и въ па́губу и́детъ.

И де́сять рого́въ, я́же ви́дѣлъ еси́, де́сять царе́й су́ть, и́же ца́рства еще́ не прiя́ша, но о́бласть я́ко ца́рiе на еди́нъ ча́съ прiи́мутъ со звѣ́ремъ.

Сі́и еди́ну во́лю и́мутъ, и си́лу и о́бласть свою́ звѣ́рю даду́тъ:

сі́и со А́гнцемъ бра́нь сотворя́тъ, и А́гнецъ побѣди́тъ я́, я́ко Госпо́дь господе́мъ е́сть и Ца́рь царе́мъ: и су́щiи съ Ни́мъ зва́ннiи и избра́ннiи и вѣ́рни.

И глаго́ла ми́: во́ды, я́же еси́ ви́дѣлъ, идѣ́же любодѣ́йца сѣди́тъ, лю́дiе и наро́ди су́ть, и племена́ и язы́цы.

И де́сять рого́въ, я́же ви́дѣлъ еси́ на звѣ́ри, сі́и любодѣ́йцу возненави́дятъ, и запустѣ́вшу сотворя́тъ ю́ и на́гу, и пло́ть ея́ снѣдя́тъ, и сожгу́тъ ю́ огне́мъ:

Бо́гъ бо да́лъ е́сть въ сердца́ и́хъ, сотвори́ти во́лю Его́, и сотвори́ти еди́ну во́лю, и да́ти ца́рство свое́ звѣ́рю, до́ндеже сконча́ются глаго́лы Бо́жiи.

И жена́, ю́же ви́дѣлъ еси́, гра́дъ е́сть вели́кiй, и́же и́мать ца́рство надъ цари́ земны́ми.

И пришел один из семи Ангелов, имеющих семь чаш, и, говоря со мною, сказал мне: подойди, я покажу тебе суд над великою блудницею, сидящею на водах многих;

с нею блудодействовали цари земные, и вином ее блудодеяния упивались живущие на земле.

И повел меня в духе в пустыню; и я увидел жену, сидящую на звере багряном, преисполненном именами богохульными, с семью головами и десятью рогами.

И жена облечена была в порфиру и багряницу, украшена золотом, драгоценными камнями и жемчугом, и держала золотую чашу в руке своей, наполненную мерзостями и нечистотою блудодейства ее;

и на челе ее написано имя: тайна, Вавилон великий, мать блудницам и мерзостям земным.

Я видел, что жена упоена была кровью святых и кровью свидетелей Иисусовых, и видя ее, дивился удивлением великим.

И сказал мне Ангел: что ты дивишься? я скажу тебе тайну жены сей и зверя, носящего ее, имеющего семь голов и десять рогов.

Зверь, которого ты видел, был, и нет его, и выйдет из бездны, и пойдет в погибель; и удивятся те из живущих на земле, имена которых не вписаны в книгу жизни от начала мира, видя, что зверь был, и нет его, и явится.

Здесь ум, имеющий мудрость. Семь голов суть семь гор, на которых сидит жена,

и семь царей, из которых пять пали, один есть, а другой еще не пришел, и когда придет, не долго ему быть.

И зверь, который был и которого нет, есть восьмой, и из числа семи, и пойдет в погибель.

И десять рогов, которые ты видел, суть десять царей, которые еще не получили царства, но примут власть со зверем, как цари, на один час.

Они имеют одни мысли и передадут силу и власть свою зверю.

Vino uno de los siete ángeles que tenían las siete copas y habló conmigo, diciendo: «Ven acá y te mostraré la sentencia contra la gran ramera, la que está sentada sobre muchas aguas.

Con ella han fornicado los reyes de la tierra, y los habitantes de la tierra se han embriagado con el vino de su fornicación».

Me llevó en el Espíritu al desierto, y vi a una mujer sentada sobre una bestia escarlata llena de nombres de blasfemia, que tenía siete cabezas y diez cuernos.

La mujer estaba vestida de púrpura y escarlata, adornada de oro, piedras preciosas y perlas, y tenía en la mano un cáliz de oro lleno de abominaciones y de la inmundicia de su fornicación.

En su frente tenía un nombre escrito, un misterio: «Babilonia la grande, la madre de las rameras y de las abominaciones de la tierra.»

Vi a la mujer ebria de la sangre de los santos y de la sangre de los mártires de Jesús.

Estos tienen un mismo propósito: entregarán su poder y autoridad a la bestia.

Pelearán contra el Cordero, y el Cordero los vencerá, porque es Señor de señores y Rey de reyes; y los que están con él son llamados, elegidos y fieles.»

También me dijo: «Las aguas que has visto, donde se sienta la ramera, son pueblos, muchedumbres, naciones y lenguas.

Y los diez cuernos que viste, y la bestia, aborrecerán a la ramera, la dejarán desolada y desnuda, devorarán sus carnes y la quemarán con fuego.

Dios ha puesto en sus corazones el ejecutar lo que él quiso: ponerse de acuerdo y dar su reino a la bestia hasta que se hayan cumplido las palabras de Dios.

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, «Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,

with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.»

So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.

And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.

But the angel said to me, «Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.

The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

«Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.

There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time.

The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition.

«The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast.

These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.

These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.»

Then he said to me, «The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.

And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.

And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.»
