and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison

and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.

They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.

The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.

The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.

Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Danach sah ich einen Engel aus dem Himmel herabkommen, der hatte den Schlüssel zum Abgrund und eine starke Kette in der Hand.

Er packte den Drachen, die alte Schlange, die auch Teufel und Satan genannt wird, und fesselte ihn für tausend Jahre.

Der Engel warf ihn in den Abgrund, schloss den Eingang ab und versiegelte ihn. So konnte der Drache die Völker tausend Jahre lang nicht mehr verführen. Wenn sie um sind, muss er für eine kurze Zeit freigelassen werden.

Dann sah ich Thronsessel. Denen, die darauf Platz nahmen, wurde die Vollmacht erteilt, Gericht zu halten. Weiter sah ich die Seelen der Menschen, die enthauptet worden waren, weil sie an der Botschaft Gottes festhielten, an all dem, wofür Jesus als Zeuge einsteht. Die übrigen Toten wurden noch nicht wieder lebendig; das wird erst geschehen, wenn die tausend Jahre um sind.

Dies ist die erste Auferstehung.

Freuen dürfen sich die Auserwählten, die an der ersten Auferstehung teilhaben. Der zweite Tod, der endgültige, kann ihnen nichts anhaben. Sie werden Gott und Christus als Priester dienen und tausend Jahre lang mit Christus herrschen.

Wenn die tausend Jahre um sind, wird der Satan aus seinem Gefängnis freigelassen.

Er wird ausziehen, um die Völker an allen vier Enden der Erde zu überreden – das sind Gog und Magog. Sie sind so zahlreich wie der Sand am Meer, und der Satan wird sie alle zum Kampf sammeln.

Sie zogen herauf von den Enden der Erde und umstellten das Lager des heiligen Gottesvolkes und die von Gott geliebte Stadt. Aber es fiel Feuer vom Himmel und verbrannte sie alle.

Dann sah ich einen großen weißen Thron und den, der darauf sitzt. Die Erde und der Himmel flohen bei seinem Anblick und verschwanden für immer.

Ich sah alle Toten, Hohe und Niedrige, vor dem Thron stehen. Die Bücher wurden geöffnet, in denen alle Taten aufgeschrieben sind. Dann wurde noch ein Buch aufgeschlagen: das Buch des Lebens. Den Toten wurde das Urteil gesprochen; es richtete sich nach ihren Taten, die in den Büchern aufgeschrieben waren.

Auch das Meer gab seine Toten heraus, und der Tod und die Totenwelt gaben ihre Toten heraus. Alle empfingen das Urteil, das ihren Taten entsprach.

Der Tod und die Totenwelt wurden in den See von Feuer geworfen. Dieser See von Feuer ist der zweite, der endgültige Tod.

Alle, deren Namen nicht im Buch des Lebens standen, wurden in den See von Feuer geworfen.

И увидел я Ангела, сходящего с неба, который имел ключ от бездны и большую цепь в руке своей.

Он взял дракона, змия древнего, который есть диавол и сатана, и сковал его на тысячу лет,

и низверг его в бездну, и заключил его, и положил над ним печать, дабы не прельщал уже народы, доколе не окончится тысяча лет; после же сего ему должно быть освобожденным на малое время.

И увидел я престолы и сидящих на них, которым дано было судить, и души обезглавленных за свидетельство Иисуса и за слово Божие, которые не поклонились зверю, ни образу его, и не приняли начертания на чело свое и на руку свою. Они ожили и царствовали со Христом тысячу лет.

Прочие же из умерших не ожили, доколе не окончится тысяча лет. Это – первое воскресение.

Блажен и свят имеющий участие в воскресении первом: над ними смерть вторая не имеет власти, но они будут священниками Бога и Христа и будут царствовать с Ним тысячу лет.

Когда же окончится тысяча лет, сатана будет освобожден из темницы своей и выйдет обольщать народы, находящиеся на четырех углах земли, Гога и Магога, и собирать их на брань; число их как песок морской.

И вышли на широту земли, и окружили стан святых и город возлюбленный.

И ниспал огонь с неба от Бога и пожрал их;

а диавол, прельщавший их, ввержен в озеро огненное и серное, где зверь и лжепророк, и будут мучиться день и ночь во веки веков.

И увидел я великий белый престол и Сидящего на нем, от лица Которого бежало небо и земля, и не нашлось им места.

И увидел я мертвых, малых и великих, стоящих пред Богом, и книги раскрыты были, и иная книга раскрыта, которая есть книга жизни; и судимы были мертвые по написанному в книгах, сообразно с делами своими.

Тогда отдало море мертвых, бывших в нем, и смерть и ад отдали мертвых, которые были в них; и судим был каждый по делам своим.

И смерть и ад повержены в озеро огненное. Это смерть вторая.

И кто не был записан в книге жизни, тот был брошен в озеро огненное.
