О́нъ же рече́: не приближа́йся сѣ́мо: изу́й сапоги́ от но́гъ твои́хъ: мѣ́сто бо, на не́мже ты́ стои́ши, земля́ свя́та́ е́сть.

И рече́ ему́: А́зъ е́смь Бо́гъ отца́ твоего́, Бо́гъ Авраа́мовъ и Бо́гъ Исаа́ковъ и Бо́гъ Иа́ковль. Отврати́ же Моисе́й лице́ свое́: благоговѣ́яше бо воззрѣ́ти предъ Бо́га.

Рече́ же Госпо́дь къ Моисе́ю: ви́дя ви́дѣхъ озлобле́нiе люде́й Мои́хъ, и́же во Еги́птѣ, и во́пль и́хъ услы́шахъ от дѣ́лъ приста́вниковъ: увѣ́дѣхъ бо болѣ́знь и́хъ,

Рече́ же Бо́гъ къ Моисе́ю, глаго́ля: я́ко бу́ду съ тобо́ю: и сiе́ тебѣ́ зна́менiе, я́ко А́зъ тя́ посыла́ю: внегда́ извести́ тебѣ́ лю́ди Моя́ изъ Еги́пта, и помо́литеся Бо́гу въ горѣ́ се́й.

Моисей пас овец у Иофора, тестя своего, священника Мадиамского. Однажды провел он стадо далеко в пустыню и пришел к горе Божией, Хориву.

И явился ему Ангел Господень в пламени огня из среды тернового куста. И увидел он, что терновый куст горит огнем, но куст не сгорает.

Моисей сказал: пойду и посмотрю на сие великое явление, отчего куст не сгорает.

Господь увидел, что он идет смотреть, и воззвал к нему Бог из среды куста, и сказал: Моисей! Моисей! Он сказал: вот я, [Господи]!

И сказал Бог: не подходи сюда; сними обувь твою с ног твоих, ибо место, на котором ты стоишь, есть земля святая.

И сказал [ему]: Я Бог отца твоего, Бог Авраама, Бог Исаака и Бог Иакова. Моисей закрыл лице свое, потому что боялся воззреть на Бога.

И сказал Господь [Моисею]: Я увидел страдание народа Моего в Египте и услышал вопль его от приставников его; Я знаю скорби его

и иду избавить его от руки Египтян и вывести его из земли сей [и ввести его] в землю хорошую и пространную, где течет молоко и мед, в землю Хананеев, Хеттеев, Аморреев, Ферезеев, [Гергесеев,] Евеев и Иевусеев.

И вот, уже вопль сынов Израилевых дошел до Меня, и Я вижу угнетение, каким угнетают их Египтяне.

Итак пойди: Я пошлю тебя к фараону [царю Египетскому]; и выведи из Египта народ Мой, сынов Израилевых.

Моисей сказал Богу: кто я, чтобы мне идти к фараону [царю Египетскому] и вывести из Египта сынов Израилевых?

И сказал [Бог]: Я буду с тобою, и вот тебе знамение, что Я послал тебя: когда ты выведешь народ [Мой] из Египта, вы совершите служение Богу на этой горе.

Бог сказал Моисею: Я есмь Сущий. И сказал: так скажи сынам Израилевым: Сущий [Иегова] послал меня к вам.

И сказал еще Бог Моисею: так скажи сынам Израилевым: Господь, Бог отцов ваших, Бог Авраама, Бог Исаака и Бог Иакова послал меня к вам. Вот имя Мое на веки, и памятование о Мне из рода в род.

Пойди, собери старейшин [сынов] Израилевых и скажи им: Господь, Бог отцов ваших, явился мне, Бог Авраама, [Бог] Исаака и [Бог] Иакова, и сказал: Я посетил вас и увидел, что делается с вами в Египте.

Mose hütete die Schafe und Ziegen seines Schwiegervaters Jitro, des Priesters von Midian. Als er die Herde tief in die Wüste hineintrieb, kam er eines Tages an den Gottesberg, den Horeb.

Dort erschien ihm der Engel des HERRN in einer lodernden Flamme, die aus einem Dornbusch schlug. Mose sah nur den brennenden Dornbusch, aber es fiel ihm auf, dass der Busch von der Flamme nicht verzehrt wurde.

»Das ist doch seltsam«, dachte er. »Warum verbrennt der Busch nicht? Das muss ich mir aus der Nähe ansehen!«

Als der HERR sah, dass Mose näher kam, rief er ihn aus dem Busch heraus an: »Mose! Mose!«

»Ja«, antwortete Mose, »ich höre!«

»Komm nicht näher!«, sagte der HERR. »Zieh deine Schuhe aus, denn du stehst auf heiligem Boden.«

Dann sagte er: »Ich bin der Gott, den dein Vater verehrt hat, der Gott Abrahams, Isaaks und Jakobs.«

Da verhüllte Mose sein Gesicht, denn er fürchtete sich, Gott anzusehen.

Weiter sagte der HERR: »Ich habe genau gesehen, wie mein Volk in Ägypten unterdrückt wird. Ich habe gehört, wie es um Hilfe schreit gegen seine Antreiber. Ich weiß, wie sehr es leiden muss,

und bin herabgekommen, um es von seinen Unterdrückern zu befreien. Ich will es aus Ägypten führen und in ein fruchtbares und großes Land bringen, ein Land, das von Milch und Honig überfließt. Ich bringe es in das Land der Kanaaniter, Hetiter, Amoriter, Perisiter, Hiwiter und Jebusiter.

Ich habe den Hilfeschrei der Leute von Israel gehört, ich habe gesehen, wie grausam die Ägypter sie unterdrücken.

Deshalb geh jetzt, ich schicke dich zum Pharao! Du sollst mein Volk, die Israeliten, aus Ägypten herausführen.«

Aber Mose wandte ein: »Ich? Wer bin ich denn! Wie kann ich zum Pharao gehen und das Volk Israel aus Ägypten herausführen?«

Mose sagte zu Gott: »Wenn ich nun zu den Leuten von Israel komme und zu ihnen sage: ́Der Gott eurer Vorfahren hat mich zu euch geschickt́, und sie mich dann fragen: ́Wie ist sein Name?́ – was soll ich ihnen sagen?«

Gott antwortete: »Ich bin da«, und er fügte hinzu: »Sag zum Volk Israel: ́Der Ich-bin-da hat mich zu euch geschickt:

der HERR! Er ist der Gott eurer Vorfahren, der Gott Abrahams, Isaaks und Jakobs.́ Denn ́ HERŔ (Er-ist-da) ist mein Name für alle Zeiten. Mit diesem Namen sollen mich auch die kommenden Generationen ansprechen, wenn sie zu mir beten.

Geh nun und rufe die Ältesten des Volkes Israel zusammen! Sag zu ihnen: ́Der HERR, der Gott eurer Vorfahren, ist mir erschienen, der Gott Abrahams, Isaaks und Jakobs. Er hat zu mir gesagt: Ich habe genau gesehen, was man euch in Ägypten antut.

Darum bin ich entschlossen, euch aus diesem Land herauszuführen, in dem ihr so unterdrückt werdet. Ich bringe euch in das Land der Kanaaniter, Hetiter, Amoriter, Perisiter, Hiwiter und Jebusiter, ein Land, das von Milch und Honig überfließt.́

Wenn du so zu ihnen sprichst, werden die Ältesten des Volkes auf dich hören. Dann musst du mit ihnen zum König von Ägypten gehen, und ihr sollt zu ihm sagen: ́Der HERR, der Gott der Hebräer, ist uns erschienen. Deshalb wollen wir drei Tagereisen weit in die Wüste gehen und dort dem HERRN, unserem Gott, Opfer darbringen.́

Ich weiß, dass der König von Ägypten euch nicht gehen lässt; er wird sich durch keine Macht der Welt dazu zwingen lassen.

Aber dann werde ich meine Hand ausstrecken und die Ägypter schlagen, ich werde Schrecken erregende Wunder in ihrer Mitte vollbringen. Und dann wird er euch ziehen lassen.

Ich werde sogar dafür sorgen, dass die Ägypter euch wohlgesinnt sein werden und ihr nicht mit leeren Händen wegziehen müsst.

Alle Frauen aus Israel sollen sich vor dem Aufbruch von ihren ägyptischen Nachbarinnen Silber- und Goldschmuck erbitten und festliche Kleider. Das können dann eure Söhne und Töchter tragen. Auf diese Weise sollt ihr die Ägypter berauben.«

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.

Then Moses said, «I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.»

So when the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, «Moses, Moses!» And he said, «Here I am.»

Then He said, «Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.»

Moreover He said, «I am the God of your father--the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.» And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.

And the LORD said: «I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.

So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.

Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.

Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.»

But Moses said to God, «Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?»

So He said, «I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.»

Then Moses said to God, «Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, «The God of your fathers has sent me to you,́ and they say to me, «What is His name?́ what shall I say to them?»

And God said to Moses, «I AM WHO I AM.» And He said, «Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, «I AM has sent me to you.»́

Moreover God said to Moses, «Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: «The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.́

Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, «The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, «I have surely visited you and seen what is done to you in Egypt;

and I have said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.»́

Then they will heed your voice; and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt; and you shall say to him, «The LORD God of the Hebrews has met with us; and now, please, let us go three dayś journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.́

But I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not even by a mighty hand.

So I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with all My wonders which I will do in its midst; and after that he will let you go.

And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be, when you go, that you shall not go empty-handed.

But every woman shall ask of her neighbor, namely, of her who dwells near her house, articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing; and you shall put them on your sons and on your daughters. So you shall plunder the Egyptians.»
