For thus says the LORD concerning the sons and daughters who are born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bore them and their fathers who begot them in this land:

«They shall die gruesome deaths; they shall not be lamented nor shall they be buried, but they shall be like refuse on the face of the earth. They shall be consumed by the sword and by famine, and their corpses shall be meat for the birds of heaven and for the beasts of the earth.»

For thus says the LORD: «Do not enter the house of mourning, nor go to lament or bemoan them; for I have taken away My peace from this people,» says the LORD, «lovingkindness and mercies.

Both the great and the small shall die in this land. They shall not be buried; neither shall men lament for them, cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them.

Nor shall men break bread in mourning for them, to comfort them for the dead; nor shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or their mother.

Also you shall not go into the house of feasting to sit with them, to eat and drink.»

For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: «Behold, I will cause to cease from this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.

«And it shall be, when you show this people all these words, and they say to you, «Why has the LORD pronounced all this great disaster against us? Or what is our iniquity? Or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?́

then you shall say to them, «Because your fathers have forsaken Me,́ says the LORD; «they have walked after other gods and have served them and worshiped them, and have forsaken Me and not kept My law.

And you have done worse than your fathers, for behold, each one follows the dictates of his own evil heart, so that no one listens to Me.

Therefore I will cast you out of this land into a land that you do not know, neither you nor your fathers; and there you shall serve other gods day and night, where I will not show you favor.́

«Therefore behold, the days are coming,» says the LORD, «that it shall no more be said, «The LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,́

but, «The LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.́ For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers.

«Behold, I will send for many fishermen,» says the LORD, «and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes.

And first I will repay double for their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable idols.»

O LORD, my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction, The Gentiles shall come to You From the ends of the earth and say, «Surely our fathers have inherited lies, Worthlessness and unprofitable things.»

Will a man make gods for himself, Which are not gods?

1 Иеремия не должен жениться, так как дети умрут тяжкими смертями; не сетовать вместе с народом, старшие не подадут «чаши утешения»; не пиршествовать с ними, ибо голос радости прекращен. 10 Ему дано ответить на вопрос народа, объявив им их грех. 14 Рыболовы и охотники посланы, чтобы взыскать злых.

И было ко мне слово Господне:

не бери себе жены, и пусть не будет у тебя ни сыновей, ни дочерей на месте сем.

Ибо так говорит Господь о сыновьях и дочерях, которые родятся на месте сем, и о матерях их, которые родят их, и об отцах их, которые произведут их на сей земле:

тяжкими смертями умрут они и не будут ни оплаканы, ни похоронены; будут навозом на поверхности земли; мечом и голодом будут истреблены, и трупы их будут пищею птицам небесным и зверям земным.

Ибо так говорит Господь: не входи в дом сетующих и не ходи плакать и жалеть с ними; ибо Я отнял от этого народа, говорит Господь, мир Мой и милость и сожаление.

И умрут великие и малые на земле сей; и не будут погребены, и не будут оплакивать их, ни терзать себя, ни стричься ради них.

И не будут преломлять для них хлеб в печали, в утешение об умершем; и не подадут им чаши утешения, чтобы пить по отце их и матери их.

Не ходи также и в дом пиршества, чтобы сидеть с ними, есть и пить;

ибо так говорит Господь Саваоф, Бог Израилев: вот, Я прекращу на месте сем в глазах ваших и во дни ваши голос радости и голос веселья, голос жениха и голос невесты.

Когда ты перескажешь народу сему все эти слова, и они скажут тебе: «за что изрек на нас Господь все это великое бедствие, и какая наша неправда, и какой наш грех, которым согрешили мы пред Господом Богом нашим?» –

тогда скажи им: за то, что отцы ваши оставили Меня, говорит Господь, и пошли вослед иных богов, и служили им, и поклонялись им, а Меня оставили, и закона Моего не хранили.

А вы поступаете еще хуже отцов ваших и живете каждый по упорству злого сердца своего, чтобы не слушать Меня.

За это выброшу вас из земли сей в землю, которой не знали ни вы, ни отцы ваши, и там будете служить иным богам день и ночь; ибо Я не окажу вам милосердия.

Посему вот, приходят дни, говорит Господь, когда не будут уже говорить: «жив Господь, Который вывел сынов Израилевых из земли Египетской»;

но: «жив Господь, Который вывел сынов Израилевых из земли северной и из всех земель, в которые изгнал их»: ибо возвращу их в землю их, которую Я дал отцам их.

Вот, Я пошлю множество рыболовов, говорит Господь, и будут ловить их; а потом пошлю множество охотников, и они погонят их со всякой горы, и со всякого холма, и из ущелий скал.

Ибо очи Мои на всех путях их; они не скрыты от лица Моего, и неправда их не сокрыта от очей Моих.

И воздам им прежде всего за неправду их и за сугубый грех их, потому что осквернили землю Мою, трупами гнусных своих и мерзостями своими наполнили наследие Мое.

Господи, сила моя и крепость моя и прибежище мое в день скорби! к Тебе придут народы от краев земли и скажут: «только ложь наследовали наши отцы, пустоту и то, в чем никакой нет пользы».

Может ли человек сделать себе богов, которые впрочем не боги?

Посему, вот Я покажу им ныне, покажу им руку Мою и могущество Мое, и узнают, что имя Мое – Господь.

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

«No tomarás para ti mujer, ni tendrás hijos ni hijas en este lugar.

Porque Jehová dice que los hijos y las hijas nacidos en este lugar, las madres que los den a luz y los padres que en esta tierra los engendren,

morirán de dolorosas enfermedades, y no serán llorados ni sepultados, sino que serán como estiércol sobre la faz de la tierra. Con espada y con hambre serán consumidos, y sus cuerpos servirán de comida a las aves del cielo y a las bestias de la tierra.»

También ha dicho esto Jehová: «No entres en casa donde haya luto; no acudas a lamentar ni los consueles, porque de este pueblo, dice Jehová, yo he quitado mi paz, mi misericordia y mi compasión.

Morirán en esta tierra grandes y pequeños. No serán enterrados ni los llorarán; no se sajarán ni se raparán la cabeza por ellos.

No partirán pan por ellos en el luto para consolarlos por sus muertos, ni les darán a beber la copa del consuelo por su padre o por su madre.

Asimismo, no entres en casa donde haya banquete, para sentarte con ellos a comer o a beber.

Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Yo haré cesar en este lugar, delante de vuestros ojos y en vuestros días, toda voz de gozo y toda voz de alegría, toda voz de esposo y toda voz de esposa.

»Y acontecerá que cuando anuncies a este pueblo todas estas cosas, te dirán ellos: “¿Por qué anuncia Jehová contra nosotros todo este mal tan grande? ¿Qué maldad es la nuestra? ¿O qué pecado es el nuestro, que hemos cometido contra Jehová, nuestro Dios?”

Entonces les dirás: Porque vuestros padres me abandonaron, dice Jehová, y anduvieron en pos de dioses ajenos y los sirvieron, y ante ellos se postraron. Me abandonaron a mí y no guardaron mi Ley.

Pero vosotros habéis hecho peor que vuestros padres, pues cada uno de vosotros camina tras la imaginación de su malvado corazón, no escuchándome a mí.

Por tanto, yo os arrojaré de esta tierra a una tierra que ni vosotros ni vuestros padres habéis conocido, y allá serviréis a dioses ajenos de día y de noche, pues no os tendré compasión.

»No obstante, vienen días, dice Jehová, en que no se dirá más: “¡Vive Jehová, que hizo subir a los hijos de Israel de tierra de Egipto!”,

sino: “¡Vive Jehová, que hizo subir a los hijos de Israel de la tierra del norte y de todas las tierras adonde los había arrojado!” Pues yo los volveré a su tierra, la cual di a sus padres.
