Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him.

And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, «This Man receives sinners and eats with them.»

So He spoke this parable to them, saying:

«What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?

And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, «Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!́

I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

«Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it?

And when she has found it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying, «Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I lost!́

Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.»

Then He said: «A certain man had two sons.

And the younger of them said to his father, «Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.́ So he divided to them his livelihood.

And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living.

But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want.

Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.

«But when he came to himself, he said, «How many of my fatheŕs hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, «Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,

and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.»́

«And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

And the son said to him, «Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.́

«But the father said to his servants, «Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.

And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry;

for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.́ And they began to be merry.

«Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing.

So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant.

And he said to him, «Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.́

«But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him.

So he answered and said to his father, «Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends.

But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.́

«And he said to him, «Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.

It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.»́

И обрѣ́тъ возлага́етъ на ра́мѣ свои́ ра́дуяся:

и прише́дъ въ до́мъ, созыва́етъ дру́ги и сосѣ́ды, глаго́ля и́мъ: ра́дуйтеся со мно́ю, я́ко обрѣто́хъ овцу́ мою́ поги́бшую.

Глаго́лю ва́мъ, я́ко та́ко ра́дость бу́детъ на небеси́ о еди́номъ грѣ́шницѣ ка́ющемся, не́жели о девяти́десятихъ и девяти́ пра́ведникъ, и́же не тре́буютъ покая́нiя.

Или́ ка́я жена́ иму́щи де́сять дра́хмъ, а́ще погуби́тъ дра́хму еди́ну, не вжига́етъ ли свѣти́лника, и помете́тъ хра́мину, и и́щетъ прилѣ́жно, до́ндеже обря́щетъ?

И обрѣ́тши созыва́етъ други́ни и сосѣ́ды, глаго́лющи: ра́дуйтеся со мно́ю, я́ко обрѣто́хъ дра́хму поги́бшую.

Та́ко, глаго́лю ва́мъ, ра́дость быва́етъ предъ А́нгелы Бо́жiими о еди́номъ грѣ́шницѣ ка́ющемся.

Изжи́вшу же ему́ все́, бы́сть гла́дъ крѣ́покъ на странѣ́ то́й, и то́й нача́тъ лиша́тися.

И ше́дъ прилѣпи́ся еди́ному от жи́тель тоя́ страны́: и посла́ его́ на се́ла своя́ пасти́ свинiя́.

И жела́ше насы́тити чре́во свое́ от роже́цъ, я́же ядя́ху свинiя́: и никто́же дая́ше ему́.

Въ себе́ же прише́дъ, рече́: коли́ко нае́мникомъ отца́ моего́ избыва́ютъ хлѣ́бы, а́зъ же гла́домъ ги́блю?

Воста́въ иду́ ко отцу́ моему́, и реку́ ему́: о́тче, согрѣши́хъ на небо и предъ тобо́ю,

и уже́ нѣ́смь досто́инъ нарещи́ся сы́нъ тво́й? сотвори́ мя я́ко еди́наго от нае́мникъ твои́хъ.

И воста́въ и́де ко отцу́ своему́. Еще́ же ему́ дале́че су́щу, узрѣ́ его́ оте́цъ его́, и ми́лъ ему́ бы́сть, и те́къ нападе́ на вы́ю его́, и облобыза́ его́.

Eines Tages waren wieder einmal alle Zolleinnehmer und all die anderen, die einen ebenso schlechten Ruf hatten, bei Jesus versammelt und wollten ihn hören.

Die Pharisäer und die Gesetzeslehrer murrten und sagten: »Er lässt das Gesindel zu sich! Er isst sogar mit ihnen!«

Da erzählte ihnen Jesus folgendes Gleichnis:

»Stellt euch vor, einer von euch hat hundert Schafe und eines davon verläuft sich. Lässt er dann nicht die neunundneunzig allein in der Steppe weitergrasen und sucht das verlorene so lange, bis er es findet?

Und wenn er es gefunden hat, dann freut er sich, nimmt es auf die Schultern

und trägt es nach Hause. Dort ruft er seine Freunde und Nachbarn zusammen und sagt zu ihnen: ́Freut euch mit mir, ich habe mein verlorenes Schaf wiedergefunden!́

Ich sage euch: Genauso ist bei Gott im Himmel mehr Freude über einen Sünder, der ein neues Leben anfängt, als über neunundneunzig andere, die das nicht nötig haben.«

»Oder stellt euch vor, eine Frau hat zehn Silberstücke und verliert eins davon. Zündet sie da nicht eine Lampe an, fegt das ganze Haus und sucht in allen Ecken, bis sie das Geldstück gefunden hat?

Und wenn sie es gefunden hat, ruft sie ihre Freundinnen und Nachbarinnen zusammen und sagt zu ihnen: ́Freut euch mit mir, ich habe mein verlorenes Silberstück wiedergefunden!́

Ich sage euch: Genauso freuen sich die Engel Gottes über einen einzigen Sünder, der ein neues Leben anfängt.«

Jesus erzählte weiter:

»Ein Mann hatte zwei Söhne.

Der jüngere sagte: ́Vater, gib mir den Teil der Erbschaft, der mir zusteht!́ Da teilte der Vater seinen Besitz unter die beiden auf.

Nach ein paar Tagen machte der jüngere Sohn seinen ganzen Anteil zu Geld und zog weit weg in die Fremde. Dort lebte er in Saus und Braus und verjubelte alles.

Als er nichts mehr hatte, brach in jenem Land eine große Hungersnot aus; da ging es ihm schlecht.

Er hängte sich an einen Bürger des Landes, der schickte ihn aufs Feld zum Schweinehüten.

Er war so hungrig, dass er auch mit dem Schweinefutter zufrieden gewesen wäre; aber er bekam nichts davon.

Endlich ging er in sich und sagte: ́Mein Vater hat so viele Arbeiter, die bekommen alle mehr, als sie essen können, und ich komme hier um vor Hunger.

Ich will zu meinem Vater gehen und zu ihm sagen: Vater, ich bin vor Gott und vor dir schuldig geworden;

ich bin es nicht mehr wert, dein Sohn zu sein. Nimm mich als einen deiner Arbeiter in Dienst!́

So machte er sich auf den Weg zu seinem Vater.

Er war noch ein gutes Stück vom Haus entfernt, da sah ihn schon sein Vater kommen, und das Mitleid ergriff ihn. Er lief ihm entgegen, fiel ihm um den Hals und überhäufte ihn mit Küssen.

́Vateŕ, sagte der Sohn, ́ich bin vor Gott und vor dir schuldig geworden, ich bin es nicht mehr wert, dein Sohn zu sein!́

Aber der Vater rief seinen Dienern zu: ́Schnell, holt die besten Kleider für ihn, steckt ihm einen Ring an den Finger und bringt ihm Schuhe!

Holt das Mastkalb und schlachtet es! Wir wollen ein Fest feiern und uns freuen!

Denn mein Sohn hier war tot, jetzt lebt er wieder. Er war verloren, jetzt ist er wiedergefunden.́ Und sie begannen zu feiern.

Der ältere Sohn war noch auf dem Feld. Als er zurückkam und sich dem Haus näherte, hörte er das Singen und Tanzen.

Er rief einen der Diener herbei und fragte ihn, was denn da los sei.

Der sagte: ́Dein Bruder ist zurückgekommen und dein Vater hat das Mastkalb schlachten lassen, weil er ihn gesund wiederhat.́

Der ältere Sohn wurde zornig und wollte nicht ins Haus gehen. Da kam der Vater heraus und redete ihm gut zu.

Aber der Sohn sagte zu ihm: ́Du weißt doch: All die Jahre habe ich wie ein Sklave für dich geschuftet, nie war ich dir ungehorsam. Was habe ich dafür bekommen? Mir hast du nie auch nur einen Ziegenbock gegeben, damit ich mit meinen Freunden feiern konnte.

Aber der da, dein Sohn, hat dein Geld mit Huren durchgebracht; und jetzt kommt er nach Hause, da schlachtest du gleich das Mastkalb für ihn.́

́Mein Sohń, sagte der Vater, ́du bist immer bei mir, und dir gehört alles, was ich habe.

Aber jetzt mussten wir doch feiern und uns freuen! Denn dein Bruder war tot und ist wieder am Leben. Er war verloren und ist wiedergefunden.́«

[Зач. 78.] Приближались к Нему все мытари и грешники слушать Его.

Фарисеи же и книжники роптали, говоря: Он принимает грешников и ест с ними.

Но Он сказал им следующую притчу:

кто из вас, имея сто овец и потеряв одну из них, не оставит девяноста девяти в пустыне и не пойдет за пропавшею, пока не найдет ее?

А найдя, возьмет ее на плечи свои с радостью

и, придя домой, созовет друзей и соседей и скажет им: порадуйтесь со мною: я нашел мою пропавшую овцу.

Сказываю вам, что так на небесах более радости будет об одном грешнике кающемся, нежели о девяноста девяти праведниках, не имеющих нужды в покаянии.

Или какая женщина, имея десять драхм, если потеряет одну драхму, не зажжет свечи́ и не станет мести комнату и искать тщательно, пока не найдет,

а найдя, созовет подруг и соседок и скажет: порадуйтесь со мною: я нашла потерянную драхму.

Так, говорю вам, бывает радость у Ангелов Божиих и об одном грешнике кающемся.

и сказал младший из них отцу: отче! дай мне следующую мне часть имения. И отец разделил им имение.

По прошествии немногих дней младший сын, собрав всё, пошел в дальнюю сторону и там расточил имение свое, живя распутно.

Когда же он прожил всё, настал великий голод в той стране, и он начал нуждаться;

и пошел, пристал к одному из жителей страны той, а тот послал его на поля свои пасти свиней;

и он рад был наполнить чрево свое рожка́ми, которые ели свиньи, но никто не давал ему.

Придя же в себя, сказал: сколько наемников у отца моего избыточествуют хлебом, а я умираю от голода;

встану, пойду к отцу моему и скажу ему: отче! я согрешил против неба и пред тобою

и уже недостоин называться сыном твоим; прими меня в число наемников твоих.

Встал и пошел к отцу своему. И когда он был еще далеко, увидел его отец его и сжалился; и, побежав, пал ему на шею и целовал его.

Сын же сказал ему: отче! я согрешил против неба и пред тобою и уже недостоин называться сыном твоим.

А отец сказал рабам своим: принесите лучшую одежду и оденьте его, и дайте перстень на руку его и обувь на ноги;

и приведите откормленного теленка, и заколите; станем есть и веселиться!

ибо этот сын мой был мертв и ожил, пропадал и нашелся. И начали веселиться.

Старший же сын его был на поле; и возвращаясь, когда приблизился к дому, услышал пение и ликование;

и, призвав одного из слуг, спросил: что это такое?

Он сказал ему: брат твой пришел, и отец твой заколол откормленного теленка, потому что принял его здоровым.

Он осердился и не хотел войти. Отец же его, выйдя, звал его.

Но он сказал в ответ отцу: вот, я столько лет служу тебе и никогда не преступал приказания твоего, но ты никогда не дал мне и козлёнка, чтобы мне повеселиться с друзьями моими;

а когда этот сын твой, расточивший имение своё с блудницами, пришел, ты заколол для него откормленного теленка.

Он же сказал ему: сын мой! ты всегда со мною, и всё мое твое,

а о том надобно было радоваться и веселиться, что брат твой сей был мертв и ожил, пропадал и нашелся.
