И се́, человѣ́къ от сыно́въ Изра́илевыхъ прише́дъ приведе́ бра́та своего́ къ Мадiани́тынѣ предъ Моисе́емъ и предъ всѣ́мъ со́нмомъ Изра́илевымъ: сі́и же пла́кахуся предъ две́рьми ски́нiи свидѣ́нiя.

И ви́дѣвъ Финее́съ, сы́нъ Елеаза́ра сы́на Ааро́на жерца́, воста́ изъ среды́ со́нма, и взе́мъ су́лицу въ ру́ку,

вни́де вслѣ́дъ человѣ́ка Изра́илтянина въ блуди́лище, и прободе́ обои́хъ, и человѣ́ка Изра́илтянина, и жену́ сквозѣ́ ложесна́ ея́: и преста́ вре́дъ от сыно́въ Изра́илевыхъ.

И бы́ша уме́ршiи я́звою два́десять четы́ри ты́сящы.

И рече́ Госпо́дь къ Моисе́ю, глаго́ля:

Финее́съ сы́нъ Елеаза́ра сы́на Ааро́на жерца́ утоли́ гнѣ́въ Мо́й от сыно́въ Изра́илевыхъ, егда́ возревнова́ ре́вность Моя́ въ ни́хъ, и не потреби́хъ сыно́въ Изра́илевыхъ въ ре́вности Мое́й:

та́ко рцы́: се́, А́зъ даю́ ему́ завѣ́тъ Мо́й ми́рный,

и бу́детъ ему́ и сѣ́мени его́ по не́мъ завѣ́тъ жре́чества вѣ́чный, поне́же возревнова́ по Бо́зѣ свое́мъ и уми́лостиви о сынѣ́хъ Изра́илевыхъ.

И́мя же человѣ́ку Изра́илтянину, его́же уби́ съ Мадiани́тынею, Замврі́й, сы́нъ Салмо́нь, кня́зь до́му оте́чества сыно́въ Симео́нихъ:

и и́мя женѣ́ Мадiани́тынѣ прободе́ной Хазви́, дщи́ Су́ра, кня́зя ро́да Соммо́ѳова, до́му оте́чества е́сть Мадiа́мля.

И рече́ Госпо́дь къ Моисе́ю, глаго́ля: рцы́ сыно́мъ Изра́илевымъ, глаго́ля:

вражду́йте Мадiани́томъ и бі́йте я́:

зане́ вражду́ютъ ва́мъ сі́и ле́стiю, ели́ко прельща́ютъ ва́съ Фого́ромъ и Хазві́ею дще́рiю кня́зя Мадiа́мля, сестро́ю свое́ю прободе́ною, въ де́нь я́звы Фого́ра ра́ди.

Финеес, сын Елеазара, поражает израильтян, впавших в идолопоклонство и распутство.

И жил Израиль в Ситтиме, и начал народ блудодействовать с дочерями Моава,

и приглашали они народ к жертвам богов своих, и ел народ [жертвы их] и кланялся богам их.

И прилепился Израиль к Ваал-Фегору. И воспламенился гнев Господень на Израиля.

И сказал Господь Моисею: возьми всех начальников народа и повесь их Господу перед солнцем, и отвратится от Израиля ярость гнева Господня.

И сказал Моисей судьям Израилевым: убейте каждый людей своих, прилепившихся к Ваал-Фегору.

И вот, некто из сынов Израилевых пришел и привел к братьям своим Мадианитянку, в глазах Моисея и в глазах всего общества сынов Израилевых, когда они плакали у входа скинии собрания.

Финеес, сын Елеазара, сына Аарона священника, увидев это, встал из среды общества и взял в руку свою копье,

и вошел вслед за Израильтянином в спальню и пронзил обоих их, Израильтянина и женщину в чрево ее: и прекратилось поражение сынов Израилевых.

Умерших же от поражения было двадцать четыре тысячи.

И сказал Господь Моисею, говоря:

Финеес, сын Елеазара, сына Аарона священника, отвратил ярость Мою от сынов Израилевых, возревновав по Мне среди их, и Я не истребил сынов Израилевых в ревности Моей;

посему скажи: вот, Я даю ему Мой завет мира,

и будет он ему и потомству его по нем заветом священства вечного, за то, что он показал ревность по Боге своем и заступил сынов Израилевых.

Имя убитого Израильтянина, который убит с Мадианитянкою, было Зимри, сын Салу, начальник поколения Симеонова;

а имя убитой Мадианитянки Хазва; она была дочь Цура, начальника Оммофа, племени Мадиамского.

И сказал Господь Моисею, говоря:

враждуйте с Мадианитянами, и поражайте их,

ибо они враждебно поступили с вами в коварстве своем, прельстив вас Фегором и Хазвою, дочерью начальника Мадиамского, сестрою своею, убитою в день поражения за Фегора.

Israel estaba en Sitim cuando el pueblo empezó a prostituirse con las hijas de Moab,

las cuales invitaban al pueblo a los sacrificios de sus dioses; el pueblo comió y se inclinó a sus dioses.

Así acudió el pueblo a Baal-peor, y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Israel.

Jehová dijo a Moisés:

«Toma a todos los príncipes del pueblo y ahórcalos ante Jehová a plena luz del día, para que el ardor de la ira de Jehová se aparte de Israel.»

Moisés dijo a los jueces de Israel:

«Matad cada uno a aquellos de los vuestros que se han juntado con Baal-peor.»

Uno de los hijos de Israel llegó trayendo una madianita adonde estaban sus hermanos, ante los ojos de Moisés y de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, mientras ellos lloraban a la puerta del Tabernáculo de reunión.

Al ver esto, Finees hijo de Eleazar, hijo del sacerdote Aarón, se levantó de en medio de la congregación, tomó una lanza en su mano,

entró tras aquel hombre de Israel a la tienda y los traspasó a ambos por el vientre, al varón de Israel y a la mujer. Y cesó la mortandad de los hijos de Israel.

Los que murieron a causa de aquella plaga fueron veinticuatro mil.

Entonces Jehová habló a Moisés y le dijo:

«Finees hijo de Eleazar, hijo del sacerdote Aarón, ha hecho apartar mi furor de los hijos de Israel, porque ha mostrado entre ellos un celo como el mío; por eso yo no he consumido en mi celo a los hijos de Israel.

Diles, por tanto: “Yo establezco mi pacto de paz con él.

Será para él, y para su descendencia después de él, el pacto del sacerdocio perpetuo, por cuanto tuvo celo por su Dios e hizo expiación por los hijos de Israel.”»

El nombre del hombre que fue muerto junto con la madianita era Zimri hijo de Salu, jefe de una familia de la tribu de Simeón.

Y el nombre de la mujer madianita muerta era Cozbi, hija de Zur, príncipe de pueblos, padre de familia en Madián.

Jehová habló a Moisés y le dijo:

«Atacad a los madianitas y heridlos,

por cuanto ellos os afligieron a vosotros engañándoos con sus ardides en lo tocante a Baal-peor, y en lo tocante a Cozbi, hija del príncipe de Madián, hermana de ellos, la cual fue muerta el día de la mortandad que vino por lo de Baal-peor.»

Now Israel remained in Acacia Grove, and the people began to commit harlotry with the women of Moab.

They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods.

So Israel was joined to Baal of Peor, and the anger of the LORD was aroused against Israel.

Then the LORD said to Moses, «Take all the leaders of the people and hang the offenders before the LORD, out in the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may turn away from Israel.»

So Moses said to the judges of Israel, «Every one of you kill his men who were joined to Baal of Peor.»

And indeed, one of the children of Israel came and presented to his brethren a Midianite woman in the sight of Moses and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.

Now when Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose from among the congregation and took a javelin in his hand;

and he went after the man of Israel into the tent and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her body. So the plague was stopped among the children of Israel.

And those who died in the plague were twenty-four thousand.

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:

«Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned back My wrath from the children of Israel, because he was zealous with My zeal among them, so that I did not consume the children of Israel in My zeal.

Therefore say, «Behold, I give to him My covenant of peace;

and it shall be to him and his descendants after him a covenant of an everlasting priesthood, because he was zealous for his God, and made atonement for the children of Israel.»́

Now the name of the Israelite who was killed, who was killed with the Midianite woman, was Zimri the son of Salu, a leader of a fatheŕs house among the Simeonites.
