The proverbs of Solomon: A wise son makes a glad father, But a foolish son is the grief of his mother.
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, But righteousness delivers from death.
The LORD will not allow the righteous soul to famish, But He casts away the desire of the wicked.
He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.
He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.
Blessings are on the head of the righteous, But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
The memory of the righteous is blessed, But the name of the wicked will rot.
The wise in heart will receive commands, But a prating fool will fall.
He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known.
He who winks with the eye causes trouble, But a prating fool will fall.
The mouth of the righteous is a well of life, But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins.
Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has understanding, But a rod is for the back of him who is devoid of understanding.
Wise people store up knowledge, But the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
The rich mańs wealth is his strong city; The destruction of the poor is their poverty.
The labor of the righteous leads to life, The wages of the wicked to sin.
He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray.
Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, And whoever spreads slander is a fool.
In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise.
The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; The heart of the wicked is worth little.
The lips of the righteous feed many, But fools die for lack of wisdom.
The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.
To do evil is like sport to a fool, But a man of understanding has wisdom.
The fear of the wicked will come upon him, And the desire of the righteous will be granted.
When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, But the righteous has an everlasting foundation.
As vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, So is the lazy man to those who send him.
The fear of the LORD prolongs days, But the years of the wicked will be shortened.
The hope of the righteous will be gladness, But the expectation of the wicked will perish.
The way of the LORD is strength for the upright, But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.
The righteous will never be removed, But the wicked will not inhabit the earth.
The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, But the perverse tongue will be cut out.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked what is perverse.

Исто́чникъ жи́зни въ руцѣ́ пра́веднаго: уста́ же нечести́ваго покры́етъ па́губа.
Не́нависть воздвиза́етъ ра́спрю: всѣ́хъ же нелюбопри́телныхъ покрыва́етъ любо́вь.
И́же от усте́нъ произно́ситъ прему́дрость, жезло́мъ бiе́тъ му́жа безсерде́чна.
Прему́дрiи скры́ютъ чу́вство, уста́ же проде́рзаго приближа́ются сокруше́нiю.
Стяжа́нiе бога́тыхъ гра́дъ тве́рдъ, сокруше́нiе же нечести́выхъ нищета́.
Дѣла́ пра́ведныхъ живо́тъ творя́тъ, пло́дове же нечести́выхъ грѣхи́.
Пути́ жи́зни храни́тъ наказа́нiе: наказа́нiемъ же не обличе́ный заблужда́етъ.
Покрыва́ютъ вражду́ устнѣ́ пра́выя: износя́щiи же укори́зну безу́мнѣйшiи су́ть.
От многосло́вiя не избѣжи́ши грѣха́: щадя́ же устнѣ́, разу́менъ бу́деши.
Сребро́ разжже́ное язы́къ пра́веднаго: се́рдце же нечести́ваго исче́знетъ.
Устнѣ́ пра́ведныхъ вѣ́дятъ высо́кая: безу́мнiи же въ ску́дости скончава́ются.
Благослове́нiе Госпо́дне на главѣ́ пра́веднаго, сiе́ обогаща́етъ, и не и́мать приложи́тися ему́ печа́ль въ се́рдцы.
Смѣ́хомъ безу́мный твори́тъ зла́я: прему́дрость же му́жеви ражда́етъ ра́зумъ.
Въ поги́бели нечести́вый обно́сится: жела́нiе же пра́веднаго прiя́тно.
Преходя́щей бу́ри, нечести́вый исчеза́етъ, пра́ведный же уклони́вся спаса́ется во вѣ́ки.
Я́коже гро́здiе зеле́ное вре́дъ зубо́мъ и ды́мъ очи́ма, та́ко законопреступле́нiе творя́щымъ е́.
Стра́хъ Госпо́день прилага́етъ дни́: лѣ́та же нечести́выхъ ума́лятся.
Пребыва́етъ съ пра́ведными весе́лiе, упова́нiе же нечести́выхъ погиба́етъ.
Утвержде́нiе преподобному стра́хъ Госпо́день, сокруше́нiе же творя́щымъ зла́я.
Пра́ведникъ во вѣ́ки не поколе́блется: нечести́вiи же не населя́тъ земли́.
Уста́ пра́веднаго ка́плютъ прему́дрость, язы́къ же непра́веднаго поги́бнетъ:
устнѣ́ муже́й пра́ведныхъ ка́плютъ благода́ти, уста́ же нечести́выхъ развраща́ются.
υἱὸς σοφὸς εὐφραίνει πατέρα υἱὸς δὲ ἄφρων λύπη τῇ μητρί
οὐκ ὠφελήσουσιν θησαυροὶ ἀνόμους δικαιοσύνη δὲ ῥύσεται ἐκ θανάτου
οὐ λιμοκτονήσει κύριος ψυχὴν δικαίαν ζωὴν δὲ ἀσεβῶν ἀνατρέψει
πενία ἄνδρα ταπεινοῖ χεῖρες δὲ ἀνδρείων πλουτίζουσιν
υἱὸς πεπαιδευμένος σοφὸς ἔσται τῷ δὲ ἄφρονι διακόνῳ χρήσεται
διεσώθη ἀπὸ καύματος υἱὸς νοήμων ἀνεμόφθορος δὲ γίνεται ἐν ἀμήτῳ υἱὸς παράνομος
εὐλογία κυρίου ἐπὶ κεφαλὴν δικαίου στόμα δὲ ἀσεβῶν καλύψει πένθος ἄωρον
μνήμη δικαίων μετ᾿ ἐγκωμίων ὄνομα δὲ ἀσεβοῦς σβέννυται
σοφὸς καρδίᾳ δέξεται ἐντολάς ὁ δὲ ἄστεγος χείλεσιν σκολιάζων ὑποσκελισθήσεται
ὃς πορεύεται ἁπλῶς πορεύεται πεποιθώς ὁ δὲ διαστρέφων τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτοῦ γνωσθήσεται
ὁ ἐννεύων ὀφθαλμοῖς μετὰ δόλου συνάγει ἀνδράσι λύπας ὁ δὲ ἐλέγχων μετὰ παρρησίας εἰρηνοποιεῖ
πηγὴ ζωῆς ἐν χειρὶ δικαίου στόμα δὲ ἀσεβοῦς καλύψει ἀπώλεια
μῖσος ἐγείρει νεῖκος πάντας δὲ τοὺς μὴ φιλονεικοῦντας καλύπτει φιλία
ὃς ἐκ χειλέων προφέρει σοφίαν ῥάβδῳ τύπτει ἄνδρα ἀκάρδιον
σοφοὶ κρύψουσιν αἴσθησιν στόμα δὲ προπετοῦς ἐγγίζει συντριβῇ
κτῆσις πλουσίων πόλις ὀχυρά συντριβὴ δὲ ἀσεβῶν πενία
ἔργα δικαίων ζωὴν ποιεῖ καρποὶ δὲ ἀσεβῶν ἁμαρτίας
ὁδοὺς δικαίας ζωῆς φυλάσσει παιδεία παιδεία δὲ ἀνεξέλεγκτος πλανᾶται
καλύπτουσιν ἔχθραν χείλη δίκαια οἱ δὲ ἐκφέροντες λοιδορίας ἀφρονέστατοί εἰσιν
ἐκ πολυλογίας οὐκ ἐκφεύξῃ ἁμαρτίαν φειδόμενος δὲ χειλέων νοήμων ἔσῃ
ἄργυρος πεπυρωμένος γλῶσσα δικαίου καρδία δὲ ἀσεβοῦς ἐκλείψει
χείλη δικαίων ἐπίσταται ὑψηλά οἱ δὲ ἄφρονες ἐν ἐνδείᾳ τελευτῶσιν
εὐλογία κυρίου ἐπὶ κεφαλὴν δικαίου αὕτη πλουτίζει καὶ οὐ μὴ προστεθῇ αὐτῇ λύπη ἐν καρδίᾳ
ἐν γέλωτι ἄφρων πράσσει κακά ἡ δὲ σοφία ἀνδρὶ τίκτει φρόνησιν
ἐν ἀπωλείᾳ ἀσεβὴς περιφέρεται ἐπιθυμία δὲ δικαίου δεκτή
παραπορευομένης καταιγίδος ἀφανίζεται ἀσεβής δίκαιος δὲ ἐκκλίνας σῴζεται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα
ὥσπερ ὄμφαξ ὀδοῦσι βλαβερὸν καὶ καπνὸς ὄμμασιν οὕτως παρανομία τοῖς χρωμένοις αὐτήν
φόβος κυρίου προστίθησιν ἡμέρας ἔτη δὲ ἀσεβῶν ὀλιγωθήσεται
ἐγχρονίζει δικαίοις εὐφροσύνη ἐλπὶς δὲ ἀσεβῶν ὄλλυται
ὀχύρωμα ὁσίου φόβος κυρίου συντριβὴ δὲ τοῖς ἐργαζομένοις κακά
δίκαιος τὸν αἰῶνα οὐκ ἐνδώσει ἀσεβεῖς δὲ οὐκ οἰκήσουσιν γῆν
στόμα δικαίου ἀποστάζει σοφίαν γλῶσσα δὲ ἀδίκου ἐξολεῖται
χείλη ἀνδρῶν δικαίων ἀποστάζει χάριτας στόμα δὲ ἀσεβῶν ἀποστρέφεται

Celui qui parle beaucoup ne manque pas de pécher, Mais celui qui retient ses lèvres est un homme prudent.
La langue du juste est un argent de choix; Le coeur des méchants est peu de chose.
Les lèvres du juste dirigent beaucoup d'hommes, Et les insensés meurent par défaut de raison.
C'est la bénédiction de l'Éternel qui enrichit, Et il ne la fait suivre d'aucun chagrin.
Commettre le crime paraît un jeu à l'insensé, Mais la sagesse appartient à l'homme intelligent.
Ce que redoute le méchant, c'est ce qui lui arrive; Et ce que désirent les justes leur est accordé.
Comme passe le tourbillon, ainsi disparaît le méchant; Mais le juste a des fondements éternels.
Ce que le vinaigre est aux dents et la fumée aux yeux, Tel est le paresseux pour celui qui l'envoie.
La crainte de l'Éternel augmente les jours, Mais les années des méchants sont abrégées.
L'attente des justes n'est que joie, Mais l'espérance des méchants périra.
La voie de l'Éternel est un rempart pour l'intégrité, Mais elle est une ruine pour ceux qui font le mal.
Le juste ne chancellera jamais, Mais les méchants n'habiteront pas le pays.
La bouche du juste produit la sagesse, Mais la langue perverse sera retranchée.
Les lèvres du juste connaissent la grâce, Et la bouche des méchants la perversité.
