да оскудѣ́етъ человѣ́къ и ско́ти, да оскудѣ́ютъ пти́цы небе́сныя и ры́бы морскі́я, и да изнемо́гутъ нечести́вiи, и изъиму́ беззако́нныя от лица́ земли́, глаго́летъ Госпо́дь.

И простру́ ру́ку мою́ на Иу́ду и на вся́ живу́щыя во Иерусали́мѣ: и изъиму́ от мѣ́ста сего́ имена́ Ваа́лова и имена́ жре́ческа со жерца́ми,

и покланя́ющихся на покро́вѣхъ во́инству небе́сному и клену́щихся Го́сподемъ и клену́щихся царе́мъ свои́мъ,

и укланя́ющихся от Го́спода и не и́щущихъ Го́спода и не придержа́щихся Го́спода.

Убо́йтеся от лица́ Го́спода Бо́га, зане́ бли́зъ де́нь Госпо́день, я́ко угото́ва Госпо́дь же́ртву свою́ и освяти́ зва́нныя своя́.

И бу́детъ въ де́нь же́ртвы Госпо́дни: и отмщу́ на кня́зи и на до́мъ ца́рскiй и на вся́ оболче́нныя во одѣя́нiя чужда́я,

и отмщу́ я́вѣ на вся́ предвра́тныя въ де́нь то́й, исполня́ющыя хра́мъ Го́спода Бо́га своего́ нече́стiемъ и ле́стiю.

И бу́детъ въ де́нь о́нъ, глаго́летъ Госпо́дь, гла́съ во́пля от вра́тъ избода́ющихъ и пла́чь от вторы́хъ и сотре́нiе ве́лiе от холмо́въ.

Пла́чите, живу́щiи въ посѣче́ннѣй, я́ко уподо́бишася вси́ лю́дiе Ханаа́ну, и потреби́шася вси́ велича́ющiися сребро́мъ.

И бу́детъ въ то́й де́нь, изыщу́ Иерусали́ма со свѣти́лникомъ и отмщу́ на му́жы нерадя́щыя о стражба́хъ свои́хъ, глаго́лющыя въ сердца́хъ свои́хъ: не и́мать бла́га сотвори́ти Госпо́дь, ниже́ и́мать озло́бити.

Слово Господне, которое было к Софонии, сыну Хусия, сыну Годолии, сыну Амории, сыну Езекии, во дни Иосии, сына Амонова, царя Иудейского.

Все истреблю с лица земли, говорит Господь:

истреблю людей и скот, истреблю птиц небесных и рыб морских, и соблазны вместе с нечестивыми; истреблю людей с лица земли, говорит Господь.

И простру руку Мою на Иудею и на всех жителей Иерусалима: истреблю с места сего остатки Ваала, имя жрецов со священниками,

и тех, которые на кровлях поклоняются воинству небесному, и тех поклоняющихся, которые клянутся Господом и клянутся царем своим,

и тех, которые отступили от Господа, не искали Господа и не вопрошали о Нем.

Умолкни пред лицем Господа Бога! ибо близок день Господень: уже приготовил Господь жертвенное заклание, назначил, кого позвать.

И будет в день жертвы Господней: Я посещу князей и сыновей царя и всех, одевающихся в одежду иноплеменников;

посещу в тот день всех, которые перепрыгивают через порог, которые дом Господа своего наполняют насилием и обманом.

И будет в тот день, говорит Господь, вопль у ворот рыбных и рыдание у других ворот и великое разрушение на холмах.

Рыдайте, жители нижней части города, ибо исчезнет весь торговый народ и истреблены будут обремененные серебром.

И будет в то время: Я со светильником осмотрю Иерусалим и накажу тех, которые сидят на дрожжах своих и говорят в сердце своем: «не делает Господь ни добра, ни зла».

И обратятся богатства их в добычу и домы их – в запустение; они построят домы, а жить в них не будут, насадят виноградники, а вина из них не будут пить.

Близок великий день Господа, близок, и очень поспешает: уже слышен голос дня Господня; горько возопиет тогда и самый храбрый!

День гнева – день сей, день скорби и тесноты, день опустошения и разорения, день тьмы и мрака, день облака и мглы,

день трубы и бранного крика против укрепленных городов и высоких башен.

И Я стесню людей, и они будут ходить, как слепые, потому что они согрешили против Господа, и разметана будет кровь их, как прах, и плоть их – как помет.

Ни серебро их, ни золото их не может спасти их в день гнева Господа, и огнем ревности Его пожрана будет вся эта земля, ибо истребление, и притом внезапное, совершит Он над всеми жителями земли.

Palabra que Jehová dirigió a Sofonías hijo de Cusi hijo de Gedalías, hijo de Amarías, hijo de Ezequías, en días de Josías hijo de Amón, rey de Judá:

«Destruiré por completo todas las cosas
de sobre la faz de la tierra,
dice Jehová.

Destruiré hombres y bestias,
destruiré las aves del cielo
y los peces del mar,
haré perecer a los malvados,
y extirparé a los hombres
de sobre la faz de la tierra,
dice Jehová.

»Extenderé mi mano contra Judá
y contra todos los habitantes de Jerusalén.
Exterminaré de este lugar
los restos de Baal
y el nombre de los ministros idólatras
junto con sus sacerdotes.

Exterminaré a los que sobre los terrados se postran
ante el ejército del cielo,
a los que se postran jurando por Jehová

Amargo será el clamor del día de Jehová;
hasta el valiente allí gritará.

Día de ira aquel día,
día de angustia y de aprieto,
día de alboroto y de asolamiento,
día de tiniebla y de oscuridad,
día de nublado y de entenebrecimiento,

día de trompeta y de alarido
sobre las ciudades fortificadas
y sobre las altas torres.

Llenaré de tribulación a los hombres,
y ellos andarán como ciegos,

«I will utterly consume everything From the face of the land,» Says the LORD;

«I will consume man and beast; I will consume the birds of the heavens, The fish of the sea, And the stumbling blocks along with the wicked. I will cut off man from the face of the land,» Says the LORD.

«I will stretch out My hand against Judah, And against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem. I will cut off every trace of Baal from this place, The names of the idolatrous priests with the pagan priests--

Those who worship the host of heaven on the housetops; Those who worship and swear oaths by the LORD, But who also swear by Milcom;

Those who have turned back from following the LORD, And have not sought the LORD, nor inquired of Him.»

Be silent in the presence of the Lord GOD; For the day of the LORD is at hand, For the LORD has prepared a sacrifice; He has invited His guests.

The great day of the LORD is near; It is near and hastens quickly. The noise of the day of the LORD is bitter; There the mighty men shall cry out.

That day is a day of wrath, A day of trouble and distress, A day of devastation and desolation, A day of darkness and gloominess, A day of clouds and thick darkness,

A day of trumpet and alarm Against the fortified cities And against the high towers.

«I will bring distress upon men, And they shall walk like blind men, Because they have sinned against the LORD; Their blood shall be poured out like dust, And their flesh like refuse.»

Neither their silver nor their gold Shall be able to deliver them In the day of the LORD́s wrath; But the whole land shall be devoured By the fire of His jealousy, For He will make speedy riddance Of all those who dwell in the land.
