Christ with me, Christ before me,
\nC<\/span>hrist behind me, Christ within me,
\nC<\/span>hrist beneath me, Christ above me,
\nC<\/span>hrist at my right, Christ at my left,<\/p>\n

Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
\nC<\/span>hrist in the mouth of everyone who speaks to me,
\nC<\/span>hrist in every eye that sees me,
\nC<\/span>hrist in every ear that hears me.<\/p>\n

I arise today
\nT<\/span>hrough a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
\nT<\/span>hrough belief in the Threeness,
\nT<\/span>hrough confession of the Oneness
\no<\/span>f the Creator of creation.<\/p>\n

I arise today
\nT<\/span>hrough the strength of Christ\u2019s birth with His baptism,
\nT<\/span>hrough the strength of His crucifixion with His burial,
\nT<\/span>hrough the strength of His resurrection with His ascension,
\nT<\/span>hrough the strength of His descent for the judgment of doom.<\/p>\n

I arise today
\nT<\/span>hrough the strength of the love of cherubim,
\nI<\/span>n the obedience of angels,
\nI<\/span>n the service of archangels,
\nI<\/span>n the hope of resurrection to meet with reward,
\nI<\/span>n the prayers of patriarchs,
\nI<\/span>n the predictions of prophets,
\nI<\/span>n the preaching of apostles,
\nI<\/span>n the faith of confessors,
\nI<\/span>n the innocence of holy virgins,
\nI<\/span>n the deeds of righteous men.<\/p>\n

I arise today, through
\nT<\/span>he strength of heaven,
\nT<\/span>he light of the sun,
\nT<\/span>he radiance of the moon,
\nT<\/span>he splendor of fire,
\nT<\/span>he speed of lightning,
\nT<\/span>he swiftness of wind,
\nT<\/span>he depth of the sea,
\nT<\/span>he stability of the earth,
\nT<\/span>he firmness of rock.<\/p>\n

I arise today, through
\nG<\/span>od\u2019s strength to pilot me,
\nG<\/span>od\u2019s might to uphold me,
\nG<\/span>od\u2019s wisdom to guide me,

\nA<\/span>gainst black laws of pagandom,
\nA<\/span>gainst false laws of heretics,
\nA<\/span>gainst craft of idolatry,
\nA<\/span>gainst spells of witches and smiths and wizards,
\nA<\/span>gainst every knowledge that corrupts man\u2019s body and soul;
\nC<\/span>hrist to shield me today
\nA<\/span>gainst poison, against burning,
\nA<\/span>gainst drowning, against wounding,
\nS<\/span>o that there may come to me an abundance of reward.<\/p>\n
